Doug  & Sue , local Central Coast residents, had this to say about turning their Metal Building into a special place for friends & family… img_9733-copy-copy.jpg

Sue has taken customization of their utility space to a whole new level.  The metal building houses parties, poker games and even Doug’s classic 55 Chevy. The fully functional bathroom boosts a shower, countertops and tile floor.  Cable, telephone and game console are an arm’s reach away.  pws-steel-buildings-2-2 Sue created a cozy atmosphere by adding furniture and decorating the walls with family photos.  One of the space’s most enticing features is it’s incredible versatility.  At any given time Doug might be working on his car, watching football or hanging out with the guys.  Friends and family enjoy gathering in the space for parties and get-togethers.  The exterior matches the color of their home and compliments the property.  “Everybody who sees it is really impressed with how it turned out.”  Doug says, “Someone puts up a metal building and it’s kind of like an erector set, kind of blah.”  “This just shows you how much you can really turn it into!”

daco_office_2_fs Darren from Atascadero says “Purchasing a Steel building was a great investment for me.”  ” I have turned part of my building into my office and workshop.” “Now I can work from home and still be close to my family.”

The barn style buildings are large enough to house a complete office, full size garage  and still enough room to house all the family’s toys. With so many options, sizes and colors it just makes since to choose a metal building over the conventional method of using wood.  Metal buildings have come along way over the years.  They are attractive, durable and built to last.

Brad enjoys the space and abundance of  room for storage.  The landscaping really adds style to the look of the building and it compliments nicely with the home and surroundings. When it’s not been used to entertain guests, it’s home to his precious classic truck.

Do you need more space?….Do you run a business from home?  Do you want more room to entertain family and friends, or wish you had a workshop to focus on a favorite hobby?  Space can be hard to find.  We all know that life can be hectic, and chances are your desk or workbench is cramped and cluttered with everything from junk mail to overdue DVD’s to laundry.  Building an additional storage unit on your property can solve space problems and simplify your life.  Better yet, you might actually find a place for your exercise equipment after all.

Things to Think About…Take a moment to think about what the space will be used for.  If you’re a classic car enthusiast, you might want a custom-build workspace with garage door.  Perhaps you have a horse trailer, boat or RV and need large, secure unit for storage.  If you’re planning to build a home-office, consider adding windows, skylights and carpeting.  For an impressive entertainment room, deck out your space with dimmable lights and the latest in home theatre technology.  You may want the ultimate in utility: A multi-purpose two-story unit to house both the Harley collection and an artist’s studio.

Increase your home’s value….If your house is surrounded by rolling hills or sits on a busy street, a utility space will enrich your life without depreciateing the value of your home.  The design and color will compliment the look and feel of your property.  Pick a building company that gives you the freedom to choose.  Your structure will match the color of you home or blend seamlessly into the backyard.

Choosing a Builder

Save money and time by employing a licensed builder who can take on the entire job from start to finish.  This includes engineering, permitting construction, earth grading and concrete foundation and slab.  The builder should welcome all your customizing ideas and have the know-how to install a variety of window and door styles, ventilators and garage doors.  Your builder should help make the space truly yours with finishing details like skylights and weather vanes.
